The progression and excitement continues here at TAS Environmental. Last month we announced the opening of our Longview, Texas office and an addition to our staff. We are now pleased to announce, as of March 2, 2009, TAS acquires the assets of Highway 59 Environmental Services. This expansion includes not only increased geographical exposure, but greater diversification of the environmental services that TAS will now be able to offer our customers and potential customers. With this acquisition, our full line of services will be offered to our customers across the eastern regions of Texas, into northern Louisiana, up into the southern areas of Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Not only do we have growth in locations, we also have growth in personnel. Highway 59’s professional staff has joined the TAS team as well, and with our combined experience and knowledge, our now, eight locations will be able to provide diverse environmental services. Our Longview office will be the Eastern Region Headquarters and will support the acquisitioned offices that are located in Texarkana, Texas, and Bossier City, Louisiana.
Given the state of the economy, it is difficult to find good opportunities that benefit from these changing times; however, we feel this acquisition is a mutual benefit for all. Combined experienced professionals and multiple locations increase our environmental capabilities. TAS will continue to offer emergency response, industrial services, remediation, transportation, waste management, training and product sales to benefit our current customers.
